Gala Jewels for the Princess of Wales?
With the Princess of Wales taking on an increasing royal role, which gala jewels would you like to see her debut next?
Last week, we learned that the Princess of Wales will be out of commission for the first third of the year. After undergoing surgery in London, she’s set to face a lengthy recovery period, with Kensington Palace cautioning that we shouldn’t expect to see her again regularly until after the Easter holidays at the end of March. When Catherine does return to royal duties, however, we should expect to continue to see her taking on a more visible and elevated role within the royal family—and that means more gala gowns and jewels.
Tiara events are fewer and farther between in Britain these days, but as the queen-in-waiting, Kate will have more opportunities than before to wear glittering gala tiaras and jewels at royal events. She and William will continue to represent the family more often at events abroad, including royal weddings and other gala celebrations. And back home, there will be tiara-wearing opportunities at state banquets, diplomatic receptions, and state openings of parliament.
