Tomorrow, those with connections to Ireland (and those who just love Irish culture) will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. In honor of the holiday, I’m dedicating today’s discussion post to a trio of tiaras featuring one of Ireland’s most familiar design motifs, the lovely shamrock.

From aristocratic families hailing from Ireland to royals who just love the visual beauty and symbolism of trefoils, jewels set with lucky shamrocks became part of many great jewelry collections in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Given as presents and worn by royal and noble brides, today I’m highlighting three of my favorite diamond shamrock tiaras.
